A break in the rains! I should be outside, and not on my computer, and yet.
In what should definitely-definitely be my last post on Fahrenheit 52 (but no promises), I wrote about the project’s “stats” in a post called F52 By the Numbers.
Spoiler alert: while hockey-stick growth was not detected, I suppose we can only go up from here. Check it out if you’d like to see how a fledging fiction podcast fared in the Spotify and Apple Podcast directory battlefields (not well).
Two new Writes With interviews
Some of you may know about another procrastination project of mine called Writes With, a nerdy interview site with authors about their writing process, writing spaces, and software + hardware. It’s very much inspired by usesthis.com (and I even reached out to Daniel of usesthis.com to make sure he was okay with my derivative work, and he was).
It’s for sure an anti-pattern of mine to focus on the tools over the craft…
“I’ll write my morning pages once I have that Remarkable 2 that I keep seeing on Instagram”
…but it’s also nice to make connections with real-deal published writers and learn a bit more about what makes them tick, as well as hear about their “dream writing nooks.” Cause we all love a good nook.
This week I published two new interviews: one with Ben Hatke, author-illustrator of ZITA THE SPACEGIRL and the upcoming REYNARD’S TALE, and another with an old co-worker of mine from the college tech support desk, Nat Guy, who wrote a book all about Japanese mushrooms.
Speaking of, I noticed these massive mushrooms growing in our yard yesterday. I’m gonna go outside right now and poke them with a stick.
